We provide quality assured Electrical Engineering, contracting and consultancy services to blue chip clients on various geographical locations across Ireland,UK and Mainland Europe.  We specialise in full turnkey solutions up to and including 275KV in the Renewables sector and other Mission Critical Facilities.

Helping lead both Ireland and the UK in achieving our Net Zero targets by 2050.

About the Role:

Reporting directly to our Company Accountant you will be involved in various areas of the business finance function; you will play an integral role towards the strategic growth of Lagan Energy Engineering.

Specific Responsibilities:

·       Support the preparation of Management Accounts.

·       Manage sales ledger, including generating PO’s, quotes and maintain tracker.

·       Assisting with budgeting and variance analysis.

·       Manage the day-to-day processing and reconciliation of bank card transactions.

·       Manage monthly and weekly payroll upload for financial and project modules, ensuring reconciling items are identified and investigated by HR.

·       Monitor costings for accurate expense tracking and perform monthly reconciliation of purchase ledger to ensure financial accuracy.

·       Maintain Fixed Asset Register and HP schedules, post associated accounting entries and ensure schedules are reconciled monthly.

·       Setup new projects in accounting systems, ensuring correct coding and financial tracking.

·       Conduct project analysis to assess financial performance and cost efficiency.

·       Other adhoc tasks as required.

Person Specification:

Essential Criteria:

·       Professional accounting qualification

·       Minimum of 3 years’ experience within finance setting

·       Sage 50 Accounting Software experience

·       Proficient Microsoft Excel Skills

·       Strong Numerical Skills

·       Excellent communicator with strong organisational and multi-tasking skills;

·       High level of ethics and integrity

·       Experience using International Accounting Standards

Desirable Criteria:

·       Experience with EU/Non EU Invoices and VAT Treatment

·       Experience with Sage50 Projects

·       Accredited qualification desirable
