We provide quality assured Electrical Engineering, contracting and consultancy services to blue chip clients on various geographical locations across Ireland, UK and Mainland Europe. We specialise in full turnkey solutions up to and including 275KV in the Renewables sector and other Mission Critical Facilities.


As Principal Contractor on the first of kind installation of a Hydrogen Electrolyser on the island of Ireland within Wind Farms, we take Pride as a front runner contributing to the decarbonisation of the electrical grid infrastructure.

About the Role:

Our Senior Quantity Surveyor will be an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for securing successful delivery of several areas such as managing costs, maintaining project valuations, liaising with clients, and advising team members.  You will be leading the department in maximising the commercial performance of framework contracts and one-off projects.

Specific Responsibilities:

Full management and lead of the QS department.

Bringing in new business from existing and new clients in which will include monitoring theonline tender notice across networks.

Providing key leadership and development to your direct reports.

Oversee the contract variations process with the ability to provide recommendations andadvice when applicable.

Collaborating with other functions, including finance, project management, sub-contractors, suppliers and customers.

Review and finalise tenders.

Monitor and review tender analysis.

Review, approve, sign off sub-contractor and material invoices/orders.

Reportingof the works portfolio on a P&L basis to the finance team to preparefinancial forecasts for ongoing large-scale projects.

Protectthe interest of the company by means of issuing and presenting a risk analysisreport the Directors.

Execute the responsibilities of this role as required by regulation and law.

Implementing and improving processes to both streamline and ensure progress claims are up todate and submitted monthly.

Staying aware of the latest trends and developments through CPD.

Person Specification:

Essential Criteria:

·      Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) or equivalent.

·      Willing to travel occasionally on site to attend client meetings.

·      Hold a full UK/Irish Driving Licence.

·      Proficiency inall Microsoft Office programs.

·      Multitaskingand time-management skills.

·      Good judgement and decision-making skills.

·      Excellentclient liaison and negotiation.

·      Demonstrates a desire to Continuously Develop.

·      Good Interpersonal and Communication Skills.


Desirable Criteria:

·      Minimum of 2 years’ experience in CM or similar

·      Previous experience within Electrical Engineering; Utilitiesand/or Renewables industry.

·      Experience in contract value optimisation and negotiating legaland commercial aspects.
