We provide quality assured Electrical Engineering, contracting and consultancy services to blue chip clients on various geographical locations across Ireland, UK and Mainland Europe. We specialise in full turnkey solutions up to and including 275KV in the Renewables sector and other Mission Critical Facilities.
As Principal Contractor on the first of kind installation of a Hydrogen Electrolyser on the island of Ireland within Wind Farms, we take Pride as a front runner contributing to the decarbonisation of the electrical grid infrastructure. Helping lead both Ireland and the UK in achieving our Net Zero targets by 2050.
The HV Project Manager will take responsibility for the successful management and delivery of HV works across a portfolio of renewable energy projects and client assets. The role will oversee planned and reactive maintenance activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with programme, contractual and client requirements.
The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in electrical engineering, combined with excellent project management, commercial awareness and leadership skills. Working closely with clients, site teams, engineers, subcontractors and internal departments, they will coordinate resources and works across multiple sites while maintaining the high standards of safety, quality and service expected by our clients.
Project Management:
· Lead the full project lifecycle, including planning, delivery, monitoring, and close-out.
· Liaise with suppliers and cable manufacturers, can understand full specifications on the material required for each project.
· Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets,programmes and registers including risk assessments and resource allocation,this includes direct labour, subcontractors and materials.
· Lead and co-ordinate with cross functional teams,clients and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
· Manage change control effectively.
· Drive performance across safety, quality, programmeand commercial outcomes.
· Monitor project progress, ensuring project delivery by providing regular status reports for management and clients.
· Assist with the recruitment of specialist labour, collaborate with HR to define requirements and participate in selection process to ensure the right fit for the team.
· Foster a collaborative and motivating team environment to enhance project success.
Business Development
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the HV sector through market research, networking and relationship building.
· Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing clients to promote repeat business and referrals.
· Attend industry events, conferences and meetings to represent the company and network with potential clients.
Essential Criteria:
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a Project management role or similar.
· Project management experience delivering HV, transmission, or major infrastructure projects.
· Willing to travel when required and hold a full UK/Irish Driving Licence.
· Proven leadership on complex, high-value construction programmes.
· Multitasking and time-management skills.
· Good judgement and decision-making skills.
· Strong commercial awareness and contract management capability.
· Demonstrates a desire to Continuously Develop.
· Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills.
Desirable Criteria:
· Bachelor’s degree in either Electrical Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
· Experience working on TSO or DNO projects is highly advantageous.
