We provide quality-assured Electrical Engineering, Contracting and Consultancy services to blue-chip clients across Ireland, the UK and Mainland Europe.  Operating across the Hyperscale, Mission Critical and Renewables sectors, we specialise in the delivery of complex electrical infrastructure and full turnkey solutions up to and including 275kV.

Our Hyperscale division supports the delivery of large-scale, technically demanding projects across Ireland and Mainland Europe, providing electrical expertise throughout the project lifecycle. About the Role:

Specific Responsibilities:

·       Manage and oversee the day-to-day delivery of electrical works across Hyperscale projects, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements.

·       Provide leadership and direction to site supervisors, electrical teams, subcontractors and other site personnel, ensuring clear communication and accountability.

·       Coordinate site activities in conjunction with Project Managers, engineering teams and other contractors to achieve programme milestones.

·       Monitor project progress against agreed construction programmes, schedules and key deliverables, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions where required.

·       Ensure all electrical installations are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, client standards and applicable regulations.

·       Oversee the installation of LV and MV electrical systems and associated infrastructure, appropriate to the scope of each project.

·       Coordinate labour, materials, plant and equipment requirements to ensure sufficient resources are available to meet project demands.

·       Maintain a strong focus on Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards, working closely with the EHS and Quality teams to ensure compliance across all site activities.

·       Ensure RAMS, permits and other relevant site documentation are understood and adhered to by site teams.

·       Conduct and participate in site meetings, progress meetings, toolbox talks, coordination meetings and client meetings as required.

·       Monitor the quality of workmanship and ensure that snags, defects and non-conformances are identified, recorded and closed out in a timely manner.

·       Support the coordination of testing, commissioning, energisation and handover activities, working alongside Commissioning and Engineering teams.

·       Ensure accurate site records are maintained, including daily/weekly progress reporting, labour records, site diaries, material records and project documentation.

·       Identify potential commercial impacts, variations and changes in scope, communicating these promptly to the Project Manager/Commercial team.

·       Support short and medium-term project planning and look ahead programmes, ensuring upcoming labour, materials and technical requirements are identified in advance.

·       Proactively identify and resolve site constraints, coordination issues and project risks that could impact safety, quality, programme or delivery.

·       Ensure effective coordination with other disciplines and contractors operating within the project environment.

·       Support the development of site personnel, promoting high standards of performance, accountability and teamwork.

·       Ensure company policies, procedures and client requirements are consistently implemented across assigned projects.

·       Support project mobilisation activities acrossIreland and Mainland Europe as required.

·       Provide additional support across the widerHyperscale portfolio and travel between project locations in line with businessand operational requirements.

Person Specification:

Essential Criteria:

·       Strong electrical trade/engineering background with relevant electrical qualifications.

·       Proven experience in an Electrical Site Manager, Electrical Supervisor or similar senior site-based role.

·       Experience delivering large-scale electrical installations within Hyperscale, Data Centre, Mission Critical or complex industrial environments.

·       Strong working knowledge of LV electrical systems and associated infrastructure, with MV knowledge/experience highly advantageous.

·       Demonstrable experience managing and coordinating electrical supervisors, direct labour and subcontractors.

·       Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, specifications and technical documentation.

·       Strong understanding of construction programmes, project sequencing and reactive/look-ahead planning.

·       Sound knowledge of Health & Safety requirements, RAMS, permits and safe systems of work within a construction environment.

·       Experience monitoring installation quality, identifying defects and managing snagging/close-out activities.

·       Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities within a fast-paced project environment.

·       Confident communicator with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, project teams, subcontractors and other stakeholders.

·       Commercial awareness and an understanding of how programme delays, variations, labour productivity and changes in scope can impact project performance.

·       Strong IT skills and the ability to effectively use project reporting and document management systems.

·       Full UK/IE driving licence.

 

Desirable Criteria:

·       Previous experience specifically within the Hyperscale/Data Centre sector.

·       Experience working on projects for major blue-chip or international clients.

·       HV/MV electrical experience.

·       SMSTS or equivalent recognised site safety qualification.
